Hello everyone!
There has been a lot going on in the world this year. The COVID-19 pandemic, the Black Lives Matter Movement, and on a personal level there’s a brand new member of the Super Stitchy family! But more on that in another post.
With the pandemic has come some changes in how we in the fiber community interact and connect. So far every festival I usually participate in as a vendor have been canceled. Thankfully I will be attending them all next year if they are able to go on as planned. In the mean time there is a new kind of festival experience in the works! I’m currently applying to the FiberWorld 2020 virtual fiber and lifestyle festival.
This festival will be the first of its kind that I will be participating in. The folks creating this event are going above and beyond to ensure that it feels like a destination and that all will feel welcome. There will be a virtual market place and lounge area. Participants will be able to chat with each other and vendors. Classes and presentations are scheduled as well! You will be able to connect and interact with other fiber fans from the comfort of your own home.
Who knows, maybe Baby Super Stitchy will make an appearance!
